How crazy does your online gambler get when your Internet is crashed out?
I've been climbing the walls the last couple days. We use a wireless connection to the local cell towers. That is the only way I can get highspeed where I live. My new tower receiver suddenly stopped working and we are waiting for a repairman. Well tonight was the first time this week I got home before dark and I noticed the stupid thing was pointed south east. It is supposed to face south west. The wind evidently slowly got the thing turned around. Terrified of heights or not I climbed up there and muscled it back to the right orientation. Heck I haven't had my fix in a few days.
Wow, I don't go that crazy. I don't like it when my internet is down though. I do a lot online (gambling is just a small percentage of what I do). I get mad and call the internet provider as soon as it is down.
Well, that's a bit extreme although I do get very very annoyed when our internet goes out or our connection slows. Not just for gambling though I do a lot of work on the internet as well.
The worst thing that ever happened to me with a bad internet connection was I was actually playing a couple of sit-n-go poker tournaments, and doing well. Well, I kept getting booted off and having to log on. It was completely frustrating.
Actually our house is only a single storey and the receiver is mounted on a fifteen foot pole on a tripod on the roof. It really isn't that astronomically high. I would probably survive a fall from there but I'm not really into that kind of pain. It was really windy though and a good gust could have landed me in the driveway. I stayed crouched down though. Now that it isn't moving the reception has not been a problem.
Yes, I do not think anyone likes their internet being down. However, I do not gamble that much to be climbing up the walls if my internet should go out. I usually just go to the local book store if my internet does go out.
