Cookie cutter online casino games won't cut it long run!

Having played at many online casinos up till now I've realized that there's definitely a battle between the various online casino software providers out there for domenance in who has the most games. I personally think that the cookie cutter approach that's taken by many of the software developers out there when it comes to slots games and other game variants isn't one that can ultimately last. Players including myself love diversity and more importantly a wide array and spread of game features that goes above and beyond that of simply revising a payout table and recycling existing game features. I think that's it's important that online casino software providers start looking at land based casino games more carefully and analyzing exactly how they and what they're doing. 5 reel slots and more importantly feature rich games are going to continue to pave the way of the future as it relates to slots entertainment so it would be wise for casino software providers online to start thinking a head and focusing on developing killer slots.

I think Microgaming is more pronounced here in what I'm talking about. They feature a library of over 300 casino games for which players can choose from and play. However if you actually play their games and play more then just a few you'll notice how similar most of their games. I do think that Microgaming is one of the best online casino software providers out there but if they were to focus on having 50 WMS caliber games they'd be far superior and way a head of the game if you ask me.

Anyways these are my thoughts on the current state of online casino games and I'm interested to hear what others have to say about it.

I have to somewhat disagree... I think that many of the online casino software providers out there are innovating and that they're doing a fairly good job at it as well. New companies to enter into the market such at Wizard Gaming are really pushing the limits and I can guarantee you that as they progress as a software provide they will continue to eek towards WMS caliber games.

Microgaming although I agree have several games that are very similar they have high quality games and games with a lot of variance. I think that they're likely have the best suite of online casino games of any provider out there.

As an American I'm actually quite surprised in that the software companies that are left servicing the US market (aside from RTG and Wizard Gaming) are quite honestly crap. Rival IMHO is kinda crappy as is Top Game.

Hey guys... I agree with you both. I still thing there's so much that can be done online with casino software and as we see technology improve. More importantly as the standard for what kind of processing power, graphics card, internet connection, etc... increase we'll certainly continue to see advancements in the quality and caliber of the online casino games being produced. I'd like to see some more exciting games being created that break the rules of traditional slots, table games, etc... anyways it's probably a pipe dream but none the less it will happen at some point and hopefully sooner then later.

There's no doubt in my mind that companies like Microgaming could produce much better slots then they currently are and they're considered the leader right now. I'm very much interested in seeing where they'll be a few years from now. They'll probobly have something rediculous like 800+ slots games and over 1000 games in total... lol... anyways I think that they'll start making more engaging games and if they don't companies like Wizard Gaming and some of the other new providers that are building kickass games certainly will.

100% They pump them out there and are going for quantity over quality.

Face the facts, if a casino offers 300 slots, you -as customer- only play a handful of it.

So why should they do better and much more?

There is no need for it - you have already to much of them.
